Graphic Resources Every Church Should Know About

Graphic Resources for Churches, Church Management Software

High-quality visuals help churches connect with their communities, but depending on your church’s size, creative budgets can be tight. Thankfully, here are excellent free and affordable church graphic resources that make sermon slides, social media posts, and ministry visuals both compelling and affordable.

As someone who has worked on church marketing and the media team of a small to medium-sized church, we all know marketing is not at the top of the priority list, which makes us a creative problem-solving bunch on a budget. Here is a list of resources that I have used during my time as a Marketing Coordinator, along with a few gems I was pleasantly surprised to find while writing this article.

Source Type: Media Design
Cost:
$0 to Nonprofits (upon approval)
Savings: $100-$300 minimum per year
Website: Canva.com or Apply as a nonprofit

This one came from the Covid shut-down. Canva to the rescue! They recognized the numerous nonprofits, including churches, helping and supporting their communities during this worldwide crisis, and they created a free option for nonprofits that remains available today.

Churches can apply for Canva Pro for Nonprofits for free. With access to templates, stock photos, and brand kits, Canva makes it easy for volunteers and staff to design visuals aligned with your ministry’s identity.

You can take this a step further and create shareable content across Canva to support others with design ideas, as well as others on your creative team.

Canva Pro for single users is $120 per year, and for a team, it is $100 per person, with a minimum of three people, so the minimum price for a team is $300.

Website: Ministry Design

I wish I had known about this site when I was working as a church creative. Ministry Designs helps with incorporation and provides other innovative ideas to maintain consistent marketing.

Ministry Designs offers free sermon graphics, backgrounds, and seasonal packs. These resources are excellent for maintaining a consistent visual brand throughout the church calendar.

It’s a quick and easy option for finding quality graphics on a budget.

Website: Lightstock.com

Their slogan says it all: “Faith-focused, cheesy-free stock photos & footage.”

Lightstock offers faith-affirming visuals, including periodic free media packs and affordable subscription options. These authentic images elevate your church’s communication tools while reinforcing your online presence.

Maybe you don’t have the one shot of Sunday for worship you need. Or maybe there is a women’s small group you want to highlight without using people actually in that group. This is a great source for those images that feel authentic to church life.

Your church, photographers, and videographers can also use this as an additional source of income by supplying high-quality images and videos for use by others.

$15/month & up
Website: SundaySocial.tv

I really enjoyed using Sunday Social for my church’s graphics. It helped me create cohesive visuals for Easter and Christmas, as well as sermon and social media content. What sets this site apart is the ability to customize layouts based on your pricing tier—they even offer help from in-house designers and share Photoshop PSD files to fit your needs.

Most often, I used Sunday Social for regular social media posts and occasionally paid separately for special event and sermon graphics.

For less than $20/month, you get ready-to-post graphics and captions that make communication easier without needing to design from scratch.

Its modern and edgy vibe makes it especially suitable for youth and young adult ministries.

Website: Church Motion Graphics

This community is great. It is part of the ProPresenter integrations for your Sunday service graphics. They have free videos for backgrounds, countdowns, mini-movies, and more. They make it easy to pay à la carte here, too.

Church Motion Graphics provides worship slides, countdowns, and ProPresenter themes—ideal for bringing visual dynamism to your services and aligning with your overall tech strategy.

Another aspect I truly enjoyed was joining their Facebook group, which offers support for ProPresenter and creative ways to use graphics. I highly recommend joining this community if you are on Facebook.

$25/month & up
Website: Igniter Media

I haven’t personally used this site, but as I explored their resources, it felt like SundaySocial and Church Motion Graphics joined forces to create something entirely new!

Igniter Media offers sermon bumpers, mini-movies, and visuals for special services—resources designed to work seamlessly with your digital engagement strategies and enhance the worship experience.

They’re expanding their offerings to include new categories like videos, stock photos, stock audio, and more—helping church media teams boost their creativity. Fun fact: Igniter Media is the parent company to LightStock!

Depending on your subscription, you can modify and adjust their assets, and they even provide Canva templates for easy customization!
