As the administrator of Faith Presbyterian Church, I consider it important to let you know the attributes of Church Helpmate that we have come to love.  As you know in our initial conversations we were having a very difficult time with our database and we knew that we needed to change to a different system.  We were very apprehensive, basically scared, to change.  After meeting with your team and hashing out every detail on how our current system would convert to fit with Church Helpmate, we began to see that this change would go much smoother than we anticipated.  After mapping out the details of our data conversion and the time needed to do the work, we purchased the data transfer package and the level 3 licensing package.

We received the converted data within the agreed time and now we had the great task of using our new system.  One of our first big challenges was using the system to our advantage.  Our older system did not give us much flexibility in running special reports, but Church Helpmate gave numerous choices.  We found ourselves thinking small when we ran special queries, so we have had to retrain ourselves to think how the system could help us.  We used to pull data and export it to Excel.  Then we had to manipulate it to make it work for us.  Church Helpmate has helped us tremendously with saving time and getting the data we need.

We have found the many features in Helpmate to be very useful.  Such as the Custom Report Generator, Custom Filters, Security Features, and even the Map Feature.  We have volunteers who drive to people's homes for numerous reasons, and we are able to print out directions.  We used to write out directions, and invariably we would forget something necessary to find the home.  This database system has been very stable for us, and even though we backup every week, we have never had to restore the system.  As the Administrator of the system I do like the ease in setting up new users and the network function.  We use a peer-to-peer system here and the setup consisted of pointing all of the peripheral machines to the host file.  It doesn't get much easier than that.

I am glad we made the change to Helpmate and we have since upgraded our system to the unlimited household license.  Our number of households has grown dramatically in just a short time.  I wish we had changed sooner.  Thank you for your use of technology and the insight to design a system that is really like having a 'Helpmate'.
