"We began using
Helpmate in March 2005. I think their product is QUALITY to the max.
At the time I started working in our church office, we were using a well
known, highly used, recommended church software. I initially balked at
making a change with the church already having a major investment in
software that maintained membership and contributions. However, I soon came
to realize it (our previous software) was an expensive program to maintain.
I looked at samples and demos for over a year. Most software I demoed I
found to be either too simplistic for our needs or just as cumbersome,
complicated, and expensive as what we had. When I happened upon Helpmate, I
was pleasantly surprised at the sophistication of the software and its ease
of use for the price. The online demo was extremely helpful.
I have found this product to be very reliable and the technical support
group to be SUPERB!! So far, all of the technical support questions
have been handled through
e-mail. There is always a quick response and a very
thorough response. I am always amazed at how well they can understand my
explanation of my problem—they seem to know EXACTLY what I’m describing.
I very much like the reports. Helpmate reports are very easy to read and
easy to manipulate (getting what information you want). I have yet to need
to build a custom report. One of the enhancements with the recent upgrade
was the reports can now be converted to pdf file format – this has helped
tremendously in being able to e-mail reports to people who do not have the
Helpmate software. I can now e-mail them a report that looks just like the
report I generated from the software.
My Overall impression is that it is a great piece of sophisticated software
at a bargain price!
